On June 10, members of the Woolwich Fire Company, Woolwich Police Department, Department of Public Works, Warriors Watch, Township and County officials escorted the newly acquired World Trade Center artifact, a 4000-lb beam. The beam will be the centerpiece of the new Memorial Garden to be built near the municipal building. The Garden will be dedicated on Patriot Day, this coming September 11th. This acquisition is the result of the year long effort by Woolwich Fire Company Deputy Chief Dave Valichka and Mayor Sam Maccarone. The Mayor thanked the Fire Company for initiating the project and the many who helped make this day possible.
